Quilted Wallhanging

I was going to show you pictures of my doggies romping in the snow we had last weekend (a rare occurrence as I am in SC) but somehow I managed to delete the pictures instead of transferring them to my laptop! So instead I will show you the whole quilt that I posted a little piece of yesterday.

This was my very first quilt using bias strips to define the shapes. It probably isn’t something I will do again because my machine is old and can’t use double needles. That means each gold and black strip had to be sewn down twice. This quilt measures 19.25″ tall by 17″ wide. It is actually square, and you can see I need to work on my picture taking skills some more.
