Silver and Copper?

Silver and Copper Earrings
I’m starting to get ready for an art show I was accepted into in Columbia SC on May 30th.В That means making lots of earrings!В I like copper, but don’t like copper ear wires.В But some people don’t like mixing metals… i.e. want all copper or all silver earrings.В What do you think?

I have made copper earrings before, and the only style I make using copper earwires is the elongated kidney earwires. Copper is just too soft to hold it’s shape for the hook styles. Also, some people are afraid to wear copper earwires or are allergic. One thing I found is that people seem to not mind the mix of metals as much if I use oxidized silver with the copper.
I really like the look of mixed metals, and might choose it for aesthetic reasons; but also, I just know copper through the piercing is going to turn my skin greenish, eventually.
When I make earrings with copper findings, I use niobium earwires anodized to a copper/bronze color. I know too many people who are allergic to copper to do otherwise. Niobium is almost totally non-allergenic, so it’s very rare that someone can’t wear it.
I love copper earrings too!! Can’t wear copper ear wires, or silver either, must be 10K gold. How would that look?
