First day back to school
Me
This is me. Not today, the first day the students come back to school, but at the Art Center in the spring. I know it is cheating to put up an old photo of me, but I just got it today so here it is!
At the Art Center I teach glass bead making, and give demos on things like making jewelry, kumihimo, and other fun things. This is the jewelry room. You can see the soldering station and buffing wheel behind me. On the table is some of my kumihimo and glass beads. I’ll be teaching glass bead making there this September! Should be a blast. Oh, in the fun sense, not the “I’m going to blow up the building” sense.
This is totally different from what I normally teach, which is math at Clemson University. Today is the first day of classes, and boy is it busy here! It is just 10:00, and already I’ve made syllabuses, taught a class, did some typing, and am now blogging. I think I got too used to having some vacation this summer… it is too exciting here! Chris packed me lunch, and I have coffee, so I’ll get by. Blogging should pick up the pace too now that I am spending more time at my desk, so look for things to come!

so neat! I wish I could take more classes, especially beadmaking. {:-D
What a great picture–lots of cool class and a nice smiling face!! Have a great school year and have extra fun teaching glass–sounds like a really fun class. (And math isn’t too bad, either!)
