Sunflower card, version 2

Version 2

Version 2

Ok, so cutting out all those little petals was a bit of a hassle.  And I’m sure that no one wants to pay for 2 hours of my time so they can send someone a sunflower card.  So I went looking for ways to shorten the time it takes to make one, without loosing that cool torn paper use up all the scraps theme.   These flowers were my friend Renee’s idea.  Each one is a circle of paper that has notches cut into it for the petals.  Then the petals were rolled up around the center to give it a bit of dimension.  The sky isn’t so dark in this one, but I probably should have torn the paper up into smaller pieces.

    Hey Jo!

I like both cards but I agree that cutting each petal is tiresome(although we both know someone who delights in cutting many tiny pieces of paper!!!!) Renee’s idea is great and you still get the sunflower look.

That sister of mine sure likes to cut tiny pieces of paper, doesn’t she??? But her pieces turn out fabulously! I don’t have the patience for some of that type of stuff… give me my pottery and beads… I have seen all 3 and like them all…
