Health Care Scare
We have been hearing about death panels for old people, socialized medicine, and all sorts of other scary things about the new Health Care bill HR3200.Ā Are they true?Ā Well, I personally didn’t want to read the whole darn thing, so I went to my fave place, Fact Check.Ā If you want to know if something is true or false, that is the place to go.Ā Especially about this new chain-email about HR3200, which has 26 supposed facts in it.Ā One of my favorite claims in the chain-email is
Claim: Page 489: Government will cover marriage and family therapy. Government intervenes in your marriage.
This is not true.Ā Itās true that pages 489 and 490 make state-licensed āmarriage and family therapistā services a covered expense āfor the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses.ā But the therapists wouldnāt be employed by the government, and thereās no requirement for anybody to receive their help. So the claim that this would mean that āgovernment intervenes in your marriageā is false.

thanks for the link. I know so much of these “supposed faces” are untrue, it’s just hard for me to come up with more than “what planet do YOU live on” sometimes. {:-D
