Hair!!!
I used to have very short straight hair.В Then I started growing it out for locks of love, which is a great group that makes wigs out of regular people hair for kids going through chemo, or having other issues that deprive them of hair.
Locks of Love Mission Statement:
Our mission is to return a sense of self, confidence and normalcy to children suffering from hair loss by utilizing donated ponytails to provide the highest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children. The children receive hair prostheses free of charge or on a sliding scale, based on financial need.
Permed hair is ok for Locks of Love, even dyed hair.В Just not bleached hair, since that weakens the hair so much they can’t make a good wig from it.В They even take gray hair!
Over Christmas I got a Hair Bear perm.В I wonder how many people will recognize me at the conference today?
